PTI's January 2018 Blog Hop Challenge

Happy New Year!  I just loved this month's Blog Hop Inspiration photo...so yummy!  I was especially inspired by the polka dots on the ice cream cones, so that's what I focused on.

I began by die cutting multiple circles in various colors of card stock.  After lining them up in rows on my white base, I used double sided adhesive to stick them down and then went back and double or triple stacked some of them for dimension.  After trimming off the overhanging bits, I added the sentiment "Enjoy" (also triple stacked) and stamped a secondary sentiment below.  Quick, bright, and fun!

Stamps: Cupcake Collection
Dies: Hello Sunshine, Bloomin Cute
Paper: Amethyst Allure. Sweet Blush, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, heavyweight white
Ink: Picked Raspberry
Supplies: Tombow Permanent Adhesive, Quickie Glue Pen

PTI's December 2017 Blog Hop Challenge

Hi there!  Just popping in to contribute to the Blog Hop over at Papertrey Ink today!  I just love the inspiration photo...so soft and pretty, and gets me thinking ahead to Valentine's Day!

When I saw this photo, my mind immediately went to my To Have and To Hold set.  I die cut the wreath three times for dimension, then stamped it in New Leaf and sponged in some Green Parakeet to brighten the background and add more green tones.  I stamped several of the flowers in various shades of pink, and then hung the wreath with a bit of pink and white bakers twine over a Sweet Blush sponged backdrop.  After stamping the sentiment from the same set, a white panel and Sweet Blush base anchored my card.

PTI's November 2017 Blog Hop Challenge

Hi crafty friends!  Happy Thanksgiving weekend!  While I'm excited to kick off the Christmas season I'm happy Nicole chose one last fall-themed challenge for the Blog Hop...I do so love fall!

I love so many things about this photo and tried to incorporate them all!  I used an ivory background, fall colored stamped leaves, some patterned paper similar to the napkin in the photo, and a copper base and stacked sentiment.  This card is going to my hubby, who single handedly cooked Thanksgiving Dinner from scratch!  LOVE!

Stamps: PTI Leaf Prints
Ink: PTI Americana, Summer Sunrise, New Leaf, Kraft; Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade
Dies: PTI Blooming Cute
Paper: copper, ivory, patterned--various from stash

PTI's November 2016 Blog Hop Challenge

After a busy morning of shopping, I was ready for some seat time in my craft room!  Here is this month's photo inspiration for the PTI Blog Hop Challenge:
Bright and shiny!  I usually stick with traditional colors and looks for card design but I did like the bright ornaments on the white tree, so that's what I focused on.
I started with a Raspberry Fizz dot embossed panel on a white card base.  For the tree, I die cut my Hero Arts Christmas tree, embossed it with a holographic powder (it's MUCH more sparkly in real life), and added raspberry, aqua, and lime clear embossed dots for the ornaments.  I popped it up using foam tape to add some dimension, and finished with a sentiment strip stamped in lime from Keep It Simple: Christmas Mini Stamp Set.  Merry Christmas and happy card making!

PTI's October 2016 Blog Hop Challenge

I was sad to miss September's challenge due to travel, so I'm happy to be back this month for PTI's October Blog Hop Challenge!  I loved so many things about the inspiration photo for that it was hard to choose what to focus on.  I ended up making several cards in the process!

Using this sketch recipe as an additional guide, I began with a base of woodgrain patterned paper.  I added an ivory panel with rounded edges and a strip of cranberry card stock down the side.  The main thing that stood out to me in the inspiration photo was the branch of rich golden leaves, so that's what I focused on.  Stamping an image from Turning a New Leaf several times, I used a mixture of PTI's Summer Sunrise and Stampin' Up's Crushed Curry.  I die cut the main sentiment from Inspired: Blessed from the patterned paper and triple stacked it for some dimension.

PTI's August 2016 Blog Hop Challenge

For this month's challenge I used the color scheme to create a card inspired by this sketch recipe from October 2014 along with this card, which I saw on Pinterest awhile ago and loved!

I started with an Enchanted Evening background layered over a Rustic Cream baseI blended Distress Ink in Antique Linen, Spiced Marmalade, and Vintage Photo on white card stock, then die cut an image from Turning A New Leaf.  I placed this over four 1 1/8" squares of Rustic Cream, and stamped a sentiment from Tag-its #7 in Vintage Photo.  I think I will send it to a dear friend who shares my love of fall!

PTI's June 2016 Blog Hop Challenge

I've been meaning to do this for awhile, and tonight's the night!  I loved the colors in this photo, as well as the underwater theme.  It reminds me of the reefs in Finding Nemo and Finding Dory!

Since I don't have any underwater or reef-like stamps I decided to go with bright, colorful flowers.  I stamped the flower accents from Choose Joy in Distress Ink colors Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, and Wilted Violet.  I die cut a Sizzix 2 1/8" scalloped circle from white cardstock and colored it with Peacock Feathers, then white heat embossed the sentiment (also from Choose Joy). Then I added it all to cardstock colored with Wilted Violet.
